What happened to this great City of Angels? Corruption at it’s BEST… California Taxpayers should be appalled!
Shortly thereafter, the Deputy City Attorney who assisted in the drafting of the ill written legislation, Mark Lambert, of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office, obviously informed that Scooter’s was behind the filing of the lawsuit against the City, decided to, in turn, with malice, file suit against Scooter’s. He was alleging that Scooter was violating the Job Listing Service Act, as defined by the California Civil Code. Scooter’s fought vigorously in Court and eventually prevailed. The Judge threw out the causes of action pertaining to the Job Listing Service Act, acknowledging it was a misapplication of the Law. Scooter’s was ecstatic. MARK LAMBERT WAS VERY SAD AND QUITE FRUSTRATED!
As Mr. Carranza, CEO of Scooter’s stated, “We have to stand up for the small businesses in this City who are being overregulated and bombarded by City ordinances, making it very difficult to do business and hence, that’s why many businesses are leaving this once great State.”
The taxpayers of California should be appalled at Los Angeles City Attorney Mark Lambert and Rocky Delgadillo for wasting hundreds of thousands of desperately needed tax dollars pursuing frivolous cases, simply because they’re on a personal vendetta, due to their major loss in 2000”… Carranza firmly states. “Now they’re trying to dictate to businesses how they should advertise their services to the Public. Well, I guess its back to Court for Scooter’s”… he adds.
Carranza also commented on how the Media has deliberately been reporting misinformation regarding the case. “It’s obvious to me that the City of Los Angeles and certain Media organizations are in bed together”… he states.
“One Media organization even refers to Scooter’s as a ‘talent agency’, which we’re not… it’s sad what some Media companies will do to boost ratings… it’s deliberate and corrupt”…he further adds.
“I would hope that any current or prospective clients of our long standing organization would greatly appreciate and support a business that stands up for what they believe. The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office needs to focus their efforts on more important matters instead of bullying small businesses in Los Angeles, simply for hidden political motives”… says Carranza.

The Los Angeles City Attorney is absolutely corrupt, totally agree. I think it’s disgusting that they would waste our tax money on crap like this. Glad companies stand up to them!

I agree. I work at the criminal court, downtown. Mark Lambert, is not very liked by court personnel and not at all respected by our judges. The City Attorney files a lot of cases we believe to be no winners.

i loved the comment on bizparentz.org. yes, they do bash companies all the time. i had a friend that once worked with anne henry. she said half the time anne spent her time writing false stories about companies and the other half of the time she spent sending her kids pics out for casting calls. she used to get angry when they weren’t called and then she would start posting negative crap on line again against ompanies, like John Robert Powers. she was very strange and finally my friend left. she never got paid either, but she didn’t care.

I loved this site! I will remain private as I do work at the Courthouse downtown. The LA City Attorney handles small petty cases, as far as LA goes! Most of these cases are full of holes and I am aware of this prosecutor Lambert and I have personally seen him scolded in front of judges for just being plain stupid, there’s no other way to explain it.
Filing cases like this one in the entertainment business is a perfect example of how the city of LA can cut payroll.
Get rid of cases like this and the prosecutor that filed it. Fire them!

I work a talent agency here in los angeles. I found this website after searching for this mark lambert with the la city attorney. my boss received a letter (email) from this joker regarding all of these new laws that were passed by the dum dums in sacremento. We’re a talent agency so i’m not even sure why we received this email. well, anyways, the letter comes off like the “gestapo”. oh, watch out, “we’re coming to get you bad people”. give me a break. this guy lambert is obviously looking for a promotion and raise. i hear they’re firing a ton of people from the city attorney. maybe lambert should get canned. petty crap like this. get a life!
